Class Description:

Dive into the art of data visualization in this informative Houdini workshop. This session teaches you how to transform spreadsheets of data into dynamic, time-aware visualizations that bring your information to life.

Learning Outcomes:

Students will develop the skills to create engaging visualizations, mastering the technical and artistic aspects of data representation. They'll learn to create smooth, aesthetically pleasing point distributions, implement time-based animations, and develop rich legends through color, scale, and transparency.

Visualizing Location Data Over Time

Beginning with the essentials of data importing and coordinate systems, the session guides students through the creative process of point manipulation and distribution. Students will learn to choreograph time-based animations, enhance visual impact through attribute manipulation, and render with Karma. Advanced topics include dynamic year display animation and data cleanup techniques, providing a complete toolkit for geographical data artistry.
